Teams
TriTag is a social game and its generally expected that players make up teams with groups of friends. Where a player does not have a team to join, we have spore teams for them to register to and we will place them in a team.
Teams can be composed of boys, girls or a mixed team of boys and girls.
The maximum number of players registered with any team is 15. If you have more than that, you should form 2 teams. The recomended minimum number is 10. There are 8 players on the field.
Each team needs a Manager (by default the person that nominates the team is the initial manager), and on Game Day appoint a Captain each week. All contact with the team will be via the Manager. During a game, referees engage with team Captains.
Mixed Teams
Mixed teams must ALWAYS have 50% male and 50% female on the field, therefore there must ALWAYS be 4 boys and 4 girls on the field.
If the team does not have 4 girls or 4 boys, they must drop an appropriate person, so that the split is 50% male and 50% female.
Unregistered Players
Teams are not permitted to play unregistered players under any circumstances. Teams found to be playing unregistered players will not receive any competition points for that round. Repeat offenders may be excluded from the competition without refund.
Teams lists will be loaded into Rugby Xplorer.
Equipment Requirements
Each player needs a TriTag singlet (reversible) that can be kept and used each year. Returning players from 2024 shoudl reuse tehir singlet from last year. New players can buy a singlet onsite.
The Pink or Blue side will be determiend by Home and Away teams on the draw.
Players need wear suitable footwear (plastic studs or trainers, no metal studs). Mouthguards are not mandatory but may be worn.
The club will supply equipment such as tags, shirts and footballs.
Insurance
Dural Rugby Club recommends all players have private health insurance. Rugby Australia includes basic insurance cover as part of every player’s registration.
